Yup.

He was in college and he stopped to run Equestria Daily. Here’s a quote from a article i found from November 5th, 2011.

This is the sort of thing discussed at Equestria Daily, a brony website with links to such enthusiast-pleasers as free Pony coloring books. Shaun Scotellaro, its 23-year-old founder, says he cut back on his community-college classes to run the site out of his parents’ house in Glendale, Ariz., and has since become a cult hero.

I personally think he just threw his education out the window only to run a My Little Pony website, which is stupid. That’s like me running a huge fansite for Hentai fans and i decided to stop what i was going for in college only to run a website. And lol, “cult hero”. The man aint a fucking hero, he’s just some regular guy running a pony site. How does that make anyone a hero? lawl

Is ponies gonna get Shaun some moolah? If EqD is gonna be around for a long time, he’s gonna look bad due to the fact he’s living with his own mother. Even if i ran a popular website, i would still get my damn degree then throw the fucker out the window just to run a fansite.

There are some famous people who created popular websites that we use today and never finished college or hell, high school but they all made money out of the things they created. As for Shaun, i don’t see any investments on EqD since it’s just a fansite. Shaun did one of the most biggest mistakes ever and is an idiot for quitting college.
